Cobalt Acquires Visible Intellect & Clarity SSU

New York, NY (November 3, 2026) – Cobalt Service Partners today announced that it has acquired Visible Intellect (“VI”) and Clarity SSU (“Clarity”). These acquisitions mark Cobalt’s 22nd and 23rd since launching in December of 2023, and its fifth and sixth of 2026.

Visible Intellect, based in Costa Mesa, California, is a security integrator known for white-glove service and problem-solving integrations for enterprise customers. VI was founded by Chad Gordon and Nathan Bazyk, who started the business with no office, no credit and a folding table in a garage. Today, VI operates from an 8,000-square-foot headquarters marked by its signature green. Its team is built on relationships that go back nearly two decades, including former subcontractors who are now leaders in the organization.

The milestones have always been the people. We have always focused on building the team first. The business follows.

Clarity SSU, based in St. Louis, Missouri, is a security solutions provider founded by Matt Abbrederis. After 18 years in corporate America, Abbrederis built Ponto Solutions, an AV solutions business. When many of Ponto’s customers began asking for security, he partnered with Alex Petrou to launch Clarity about six years ago as a dedicated security business. Today, Clarity operates across the United States and has delivered five consecutive years of record-breaking growth.

“My goal all along was to build a family-based culture where every employee felt like they were participating in the growth of the business,” said Matt Abbrederis. “I wanted everyone to feel the excitement and stability of the company’s growth strategy.”

The founders of both companies chose Cobalt as a partner that would help them grow while protecting the cultures they have built. “What stood out about Cobalt was the depth behind them: the back office, the help with hiring, and a group of sister companies that have already worked through most of the problems I was losing sleep over,” said Gordon. “Cobalt supercharges our team and encourages our VI Green culture, which mattered more to me than anything else on the table.”

“Our employees immediately felt a big sense of comfort and excitement about this new opportunity, and that excitement continues to this day,” said Abbrederis. “Cobalt not only respected the culture we built, but they have also protected a business model that has proven over and over again to work. I’m confident this is the best outcome for the future of the company and our employees.”

“Visible Intellect and Clarity have each built something special, and it starts with their people,” said Tyler Hoffman, Co-CEO of Cobalt. “We’re thrilled to welcome both teams to Cobalt and to help them keep doing what they do best.”

Going forward, Nathan Bazyk has transitioned out of day-to-day operations and Chad Gordon will serve as Vice President of Sales at Visible Intellect. At Clarity, Alex Petrou will serve as CEO, and Matt Abbrederis will transition to Special Advisor.
